Quayside productivity : Kribi, Best Port in Africa

              The new award is proudly displayed on the table of Patrice Melom, General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK). This is for having outclassed, in so short a time, the “Milestone Achievement Award” trophy, awarded on 21 October in Brussels to PAK’s GM by the jury of the Rebranding Africa Awards. On 9 November 2023, the jury of the 7th Edition of African Ports Awards conferred the “Best Quayside Productivity” award to PAK.

Port operation : A New Versatile Crane for the Port of Kribi

This 13 April 2021, when receiving the ‘’ Gottwald 8412’’, the mobile crane on wheels, the container terminal of the Port of Kribi affirmed once again its competitive positon as the most attractive platform in the Central African sub-region especially.

The equipment concerned is a crane meant for vessel handling operations. With a lifting capacity of 100 tonnes and 41 tonnes on-board vessels, the new equipment can lift 2 twenty-feet containers simultaneously.

Development of the logistics zone: Highlights of a Booming Area

Out of the 26,300 ha of land belonging to the artificial public domain, 20,000 ha are intended to host commercial, logistics and industrial activities by 2040. To make them functional, PAK has embarked on developing a major infrastructure network (roads and highways, railway, water supply system, power supply system, etc.) To meet the current demand and needs expected by 2027, 1,200 ha will be earmarked out of a gross area of almost 3,000 ha for the establishment of activities in the areas adjacent to the Port.

CCAA seeking PAK assistance , Development of the Kribi Airport

On Thursday 25 February, Patrice MELOM, General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) received his counterpart the General Manager of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA). Mrs. Paule ASSOUMOU KOKI came to present the Kribi aerodrome, a plot of 125ha located in the Pongo Aviation neighbourhood and essentially comprising of a laterite airstrip that can accommodate small MA 60 type machines.
