THE PORT INDUSTRIAL ZONE : Signifificant Progress Made

The inauguration of KRIBI LOGISTICS HUB, the new warehousing and storage platform on 8 June 2022, is a glaring proof of the progress of the construction projects in the Kribi industrial port area.

The multimodal infrastructure unveiled to the Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLE BIBEHE, others members of government and personalities of the business sector, is a modern reference equipment. It will undoubtedly reinforce the development of the port of Kribi, as well as the export flows of raw materials such as cotton, timber and cocoa. It equally aims to help support the increase in volumes resulting from the development of the industrial port zone and to boost the fluidity of the corridors.

Built on an area of 7 hectares (ha), 2.5 ha of which are developed and fenced, the project by BOLLORE TRANSPORT ET LOGISTIQUE has 6,000 m² of warehouses and 1.7 ha of container storage space. According to Serge AGNERO, Regional Director for the Gulf of Guinea the BOLLORE Group, «KRIBI LOGISTICS HUB brings optimal
solutions to the value chain you need».

Alongside this space, there are others already in operation, notably that of SODIPRACO Sarl, which has been operational since 2021 with a surface area of 1000 m². In the same vein, the company IHM SARL, which has had one of its 8,000m² warehouses in operation since February 2022, plans to open a second one with the same capacity by September 2022.

As for the works underway, several companies such as PAK, COLOR CERAMICA, SCI KALOUPE, KIS are at work and according to the schedule, most of these sites will be completed by the end of 2022. This will increase the storage and warehousing capacity of the Kribi industrial port zone to 73,500 m². With this progress, the port of Kribi will become a pivotal logistics hub in the Central African sub-region.
Patrice Melom, the General Manager of PAK, stressed this during his speech at the inauguration ceremony of the KRIBI LOGISTICS HUB. He seized the opportunity to invite all investors not only in logistics but also in several other sectors, to come and settle in Kribi.
